Private tools for family
A future goal is to provide accounts for family members, allowing them to store and access their own files on the server. Other private tools, such as simple messaging, may be added when they have a useful purpose.
Project and server status
The site will also make it easier for friends to see whether my projects and game servers are running normally. A future status page can show availability, maintenance notices, and useful server information.
A place for my CV
This website also acts as a public place for my CV, background, projects, and contact details. It gives visitors one clear place to learn about me and the work I am doing.
Learning security
Security is part of the project.
Accounts and file storage are not only useful features: they are also a way for me to learn how websites should protect users. I am learning about secure logins, permissions, safe file handling, backups, updates, and protecting personal information before adding features that depend on them.
